Apprentice Fabricator

Apprentice Fabricators will assist our Specialty Department in fabricating a variety of components featured in ITB truck bodies, trailers, enclosures, and mobile oilfield equipment. Such components can include lockers, cabinets, steps, railings, and doors.

Successful candidates for this role must have a motivation to learn fabrication techniques, strive to acquire a keen eye for detail, and improve their problem‑solving skills. Prior experience in MIG and TIG welding processes, the ability to read blueprints, and operation of fabricating equipment are an asset, but will be developed.

Our Coaldale, AB plant is located just off of highway 3 and is an easy commute from Lethbridge or Taber. We roughly have 100 employees and are continuing to expand.

• Cut and build components as required using fabrication machinery and equipment
• Develop proper welding techniques for both aluminum and steel
• Prep and install components as required
• Analyze drawings before building and demonstrate critical thinking
• Willing to be hands on in other departments when needed

• Know and apply company safety rules, policies, and relevant occupational health and safety legislation
• Work in a professional and ethical manner
• Use of hand, power and air tools safely and as required
• Provide support for other departments as necessary
• Properly fill out daily time sheets and target hour sheets
• Develop effective working relationships with co‑workers and supervisors, always treating others with respect
• Be receptive to a changing environment and circumstances
• Other duties as required
