In this position you will be primarily responsible for leading Facility related projects, leasing and overseeing day-to-day operations of all Facilities under your jurisdiction. You will work closely with external customers as well as a wide variety of internal parties to ensure the efficient operation of building-related services.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the liaison with Property Management for negotiation of leases and service provision to all facilities under their jurisdiction.
- Expense management of all Facility capital and operating budgets
- Provide guidance or support on facility operational questions or issues.
- Overseeing the daily operations of all Facilities under their jurisdiction which may include:
- Planning and coordinating office renovations, reconfigurations and moves.
- Floor plan design
- Planning and coordinating new space design.
- Implementing office maintenance programs.
- Building security and Safety Compliance.
- Investigating and resolving facilities related problems.
- The arrangement of office equipment purchases and maintenance.
- Supporting all function requests (Medicentres/MHS Office Builds, Moves, Repairs, environmental request/ concerns, deficiencies list and general maintenance).
- Overseeing Vendor Service arrangements (painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, locksmiths, etc....)
- Education:
Post-secondary education in business or related field.
- A minimum of five years of facility management or building operations experience required with three years of supervisory experience in management, budgeting, vendor management, operations, and maintenance.
- Computer
Skills:
Intermediate to advanced computer skills and a working knowledge of various software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite. Prior experience working with MS Project is considered an asset. - Language
Skills:
English required, Bilingualism (French and English) is considered a strong asset.

- Financial Management skills to manage resources effectively
- Proficient in office design, space allocation, construction project management and building management.

- Able to do heavy lifting of up to 25 KG
- Capable of working at heights, as required
- Experience completing HVAC, ceiling tiles and lighting investigations and/or repairs
- Able to travel between multiple Facilities and/or Construction Projects
In conjunction with our contract with the Federal Government, you will be required to have Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level
B). This includes Fingerprinting, Criminal Record Check, Credit Check and you must have resided in Canada for at least 5 years and hold Permanent Resident or Citizenship Status.
