Education:
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in the food service sector including supervisory experience, are required.

Tasks:
- Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits;
- Evaluate daily operations;
- Monitor revenues to determine labour cost;
- Plan and organize daily operations;
- Set staff work schedules;
- Train staff;
- Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms;
- Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations;
- Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies;
- Leading/instructing individuals;
- Provide customer service;
- Monitor staff performance;
- Supervise Staff;
- Conduct performance reviews;
- Cost products and services;
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed;
- Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities;
- Address customers' complaints or concerns;
- Manage events.
Supervision: 5-10 people; staff in various areas of responsibility
Budgetary responsibility: $0 - $100,000
