Working as part of the cleaning staff in teams of two or three, the incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of the complete, thorough, and detailed spring cleaning of all residence units as well as cleaning for the day to day summer hotel business. In addition, the Lead will assist the Cleaning Supervisor as required in conducting quality control checks as well as with supervision of cleaning staff.

This person will act on behalf of the Cleaning Supervisor if they are away.

• Working with chemicals

• Reporting maintenance concerns
• Deep cleaning
• Lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds
• Providing guidance to cleaning staff
• Quality control checks
• Replenishing cleaning supplies and diluting cleaning agents

• Must be physically capable of performing job duties: bending, crouching, lifting, carrying, reaching, and kneeling
• Ability to work with many cleaning agents
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• WHMIS/GHS training

• Experience in a hotel setting
• Experience in a supervisory capacity
• Previous related cleaning experience
• Attention given to details
• Previous experience as a Residence Cleaner

Salary: AUPE Class Level 3 Step 1 $ 18.54 per hour.
