As part of a dedicated team, the incumbents will be responsible for ensuring that all residence units receive thorough, detailed spring cleaning. This will also involve the ongoing cleaning and upkeep of public spaces within the Residence Life areas. The position will require the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during the busy summer hotel season. The position will require the ability to respond quickly to cleaning requests and ensure high standards are consistently met.

• Working with cleaning supplies and equipment safely and responsibly
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Report maintenance concerns or issues to the appropriate department
• Deep cleaning of residence units
• Ongoing cleaning and upkeep of public spaces within the Residence Life areas
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during busy summer periods
• Lift and carry up to 20 pounds as needed to move cleaning supplies or equipment

• Must be physically capable of performing job duties: bending, crouching, lifting, carrying, reaching, and kneeling
• Ability to work with many cleaning agents safely and responsibly
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment working collaboratively in teams of two or three
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, especially during busy periods, ensuring all areas are consistently clean and presentable
• Reliable, punctual, and proactive in completing assigned tasks

• Experience in a hotel setting
• Familiar with WHMIS/GHS
• Previous related cleaning experience
• Attention given to details

Salary: AUPE Class Level 2 Step 1 $ 17.34/hr
