Residence Snow Removal Assistant

Facilities Management is looking to hire up to three students living in Residence for snow removal.

This is a casual, call in position where hours worked are determined by snow events.

Responsibilities include:

• shoveling sidewalks, pathways, entries, and emergency exits in three Residence areas
  - Cullen, 30th Avenue, and Kodiak House and occasionally the Barn.
• Hours worked will be early morning and/or on demand based on snow or wind related requirements, to maintain safe passages for Lethbridge Polytechnic students, staff, and guests walking between Residence buildings and the main campus.
• Personal Protective Equipment will be a requirement, at no cost to the employee.

• High school diploma
• Able-bodied and can lift medium to heavy weight and familiar with small tool operation
• Well organized and good attention to detail
• Basic understanding of computer operation, email, Microsoft, etc.
• This will be a physically demanding role and the ability to crouch, lift, carry weights up to 20 pounds, and bend repetitively is required
• The successful candidates must have the ability to take calls and text messages
