OverviewWe are offering an exciting opportunity within the Information Security team. This role is ideal for candidates seeking hands‑on experience in identity and access management. This position will support the existing team to address workload primarily within the account management lifecycle.
The position will require good organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to break down large tasks into manageable daily work. The successful candidate will need to work independently for large periods of time and therefore good time‑management skills are a necessity.
In addition to user account management, there will be considerable exposure to the Microsoft security tool set, participation in incident response activities, and coordinated investigations with our managed security services partner. As this is a term position, there will be daily deliverables (daily account management tasks) and an end‑of‑term deliverable (completion of account processing project work).
Key Responsibilities- Execute account revocation steps and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Improvement of automation for onboarding, account revocation, and general identity processes.
- Actioning identity management requests.
- Assist with investigations related to user accounts, identity security, and communicating with users.
- Review intrusion detection and endpoint alerts in coordination with our managed security services partner.
- Open to both internal and external candidates with appropriate experience.
- Experience working within information technology or a closely related field.
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science (or equivalent) would be preferred.
- Scripting experience and a familiarity with MS Excel are required.
- Certifications in information technology, networking, or security will be an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra or MS Active Directory would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with a post‑secondary setting is an asset.
Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE): $4,691.00 - $5,246.00 monthly
Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE): $4,691.00 - $5,799.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 10)
