The Lethbridge Police Service is currently accepting applications for a
Full-Time term relief position of IT Service Desk Support Technician
. This term position will commencewhen a suitable candidate is found and run for a period of 12-14 months, endingin March 2027.
The IT Service Desk Support technician position is a complex andfast-paced role where a variety of technical work is required involving the implementation, administration, maintenance and documentation of the LPSbusiness applications and interfaces. This position ensures high levels ofavailability in a 24/7 emergency services environment. The overall purpose ofthe job includes being the primary point of contact between the LPS IT Sectionand the users of the IT services, enter calls into a tracking system;
evaluatecalls to determine appropriate response, referral or escalation, provide Tier Itechnology support for service desk calls; conduct hardware and softwareinventory tracking, maintenance and reporting.
