This is a permanent part time role located at 1410 Mayor Magrath Drive S., Lethbridge

Your impact

Our OTs provide both individual and program-based treatments and assessments for individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries. They also play a pivotal role in supporting veterans, Canadian Armed Forces members, first responders, and individuals facing physical, cognitive and mental wellness goals. In this role, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services to clients
  • Apply clinical expertise and professional competence in the assessment, intervention, consultation, case management, discharge planning, education, and follow‑up of clients
  • Perform clinical evaluations, including admission assessments, ADL assessments, specialized seating and positioning assessments
  • Identification of appropriate equipment needs with initiation of recommendations
  • Consult with local vendors regarding equipment trials and complete applications/funding letters to Ministry of Health, insurance agencies and other funding parties
  • Provide education on seating and positioning, independence with activities of daily living, wheelchairs and adaptive aides as well as providing ongoing education to clients and family to improve function, independence and safety
  • Provide ongoing evaluation of restraint use, wound prevention, falls, and injury prevention.
  • Record assessment and treatment interventions in the client’s chart
  • Excel in a collaborative, inter‑disciplinary team environment
  • Exhibit sound professional judgment
Are you the right fit?

As one of the largest networks of OTs in the nation, you will work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment, delivering high‑quality, client‑centered care across multiple clinics, or specific clinic and community settings. Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities and scope of practice; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists in your province.
  • 1‑3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist is preferred
  • Newly Licensed Graduates are accepted
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle may be required
  • In some cases, Valid Vulnerable Sector screening check
  • In some cases, Proof of Tuberculin (2‑Step Mantoux Test) clearance (within 6 months)
Other Requirements:
  • Clinical experience is an asset in areas such as brain injury/neurological rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal/orthopedic injury, home safety, ergonomics and/or return to work.
  • Passion for your profession and commitment to ongoing professional develop men
  • Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem‑solving, time management, computer and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Bilingualism - French and English are assets.
