- Position: JUNIOR AUTOMATION PROFESSIONAL
As a junior automation professional, the desired applicant will share MPE’s vision to provide industry leading services to our clients throughout Southern Alberta and Western Canada. The position is primarily focused on control system design, PLC and SCADA programming and commissioning. The successful applicant will work with our automation and controls team in our Lethbridge Office.
Mandatory qualifications are as follows:
- Experience or knowledge with design software is considered an asset; particularly with AutoCAD
- Programming experience with a variety of automation software and hardware
- Willingness to travel to support maintenance and commissioning tasks
- Availability for PLC, SCADA Systems, and related communications emergency support
- Diploma or Degree from an accredited post-secondary institution
- Licensed or eligible for licensing or certification with APEGA/ASET
Preference will be placed for candidates that also have the following qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
- Class 5 Drivers License and personal vehicle for out-of-town work as required,
Zero to two years of experience in relatedpositions to the above preferenceand mandatory qualifications.
