Temporary Full-Time Educational Assistants – W.A. Day Elementary School located in Fort Macleod, Alberta is seeking to employ the very best school based staff in Alberta. W.A. Day Elementary School requires two Full-Time Educational Assistants (1.0 FTE) to provide child support in an inclusive setting. The successful candidates will provide assistance for children in an inclusive program to help meet the goals of the children's learning plan.

• Provide child support in an inclusive setting and assist children in an inclusive program to help meet learning goals.
• Work with students one-on-one, in small groups, and in inclusive classroom settings.
• Collaborate with staff and maintain strong relationships with students.
• Support students with diverse learning and physical needs and challenging behaviours.
• Collaborate with a Learning Support Team.

• Experience working with students in one-on-one, small group and inclusive classroom settings
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students and staff
• Experience and training in working with children with diverse learning needs
• Experience working with children with diverse physical needs and challenging behaviours
• Experience in working collaboratively with a Learning Support Team
• NVCI and/or SIVA training would be an asset
• Educational Assistant certification and/or Health Care Aide certification or equivalent
• Knowledge of American Sign Language and/or Assistive Technology is an asset
• Knowledge of the Leader in Me Framework

These positions will commence when suitable candidates are found and will end on June 28, 2027. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
