The Department of Integrative Nursing Systems in the Faculty of Nursing invites applications for an entry-level, full-time, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2026, subject to final budgetary approval.
The Faculty of Nursing delivers excellent nursing education across four academic Departments, which collectively offer a Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN), as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), a Bridge to Canadian Nursing Certificate and other post-credential learning experiences.
The Department of Integrative Nursing Systems is comprised of courses specific to key health concepts which are evident in applied nursing practice. Courses within this department also contain experiences that illuminate the role of social structures and complex health systems in the provision of nursing care.
You will teach undergraduate nursing students in various settings (mostly classroom and possibly lab) and inspire student learning across departments and programs within the Faculty of Nursing.
You must have a terminal degree (Master’s required and PhD preferred) in a nursing related field with expertise in an area of the Nursing discipline. You will demonstrate a primary commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and be committed to developing and sustaining an ongoing program of research. You will have curriculum development experience and have a passion for innovation in nursing education.
Applicants must have unencumbered licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) and/or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA) and meet the Requisite
Skills and Abilities
of the applicable profession(s).
