The SchoolG.S. Lakie Middle School serves approximately 600 students and is located on the west side of Lethbridge. G.S Lakie Middle School is seeking a Grade 6 and 8 English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher to join their team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong foundation in supporting students, have an unwavering belief that every child is a capable learner and will:
- Have an educational background in English Language Arts and Social Studies;
- Have previous experience teaching Middle School (preferred);
- Be committed to strong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills;
- Have the ability to offer engaging, innovative lessons, and to differentiate to meet diverse learner needs and styles;
- Have the ability to develop a genuine relationship with students and a willingness to connect with families;
- Possess a passion and willingness to work with students outside of the classroom in an extra‑curricular setting;
- Have a commitment to ongoing professional development and professionalism.
- Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain an Alberta Teaching Certificate;
