Position Overview

The Guest Services Associate plays a key role in delivering exceptional service to guests while supporting the day-to-day operations of Campus Summer Stays and the broader Campus and Community Events portfolio. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, financial accuracy, and the ability to respond professionally to a variety of guest needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver professional and responsive front desk and guest services.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve concerns in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Support daily hotel operations and administrative processes.
  • Assist with conference and event related accommodation logistics.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including credit, debit, and cash transactions.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Perform additional operational and administrative duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities for the Live‑In Position
  • A live‑in option includes residence in Mt. Blakiston House or a comparable residence building for the summer term.
  • Conduct evening and night audit reporting.
  • Manage financial reconciliation and cash handling procedures.
  • Provide evening check‑in and check‑out services.
  • Respond to operational or guest service matters that arise outside standard business hours.

Terms

Term:
April 27, 2026 to August 28, 2026

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Rate of Pay: $20.59 per hour.

Position Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience handling financial transactions and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new software systems quickly.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.

Preference will be given to applicants who have completed at least one semester living in residence at the University of Lethbridge.
