Dairy​/Beef Nutrition Specialist

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Dairy/Beef Nutrition Specialist on behalf of our client, a leading animal feed provider within Lethbridge. The right candidate will take on this customer service centered role, to assist with the company growth and overall success of the team.

• Responsible for servicing current active accounts, while simultaneously creating relationships with new clients through business development/sales.
• Customer Service is a huge part of your role, you will be working directly with customers.
• Responsible for third party communications. 25% of your day will be spent doing sales, while 75% of your day will be spent doing ration work, customer service, and business development/networking.
• Assisting with the formulation and creation of different feeds, ensuring quality of products.
• Comfortable utilizing a computer, and software (with training) to ensure accurate information is being communicated.
• Comfortable driving throughout Southern Alberta to meet with clients, and deliver materials as needed.
• Will be working closely with community members throughout Southern Alberta, must be comfortable with this.

• 1+ year of experience working in ruminant nutrition.
• Knowledge/experience working with poultry, an asset.
• Excellent working knowledge of beef/dairy nutrition and industry needs.
• 2+ years of experience working in a customer service setting.
• Education in a related fields of study which may include Agriculture, Biology, and Animal Sciences. Graduates of Nutrition Support programs will be considered. Graduates of the 4H program would be considered as well.
• Must understand how to use all aspects of Office 365.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, repetitive environment.
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License, with reliable transportation and a clean drivers abstract.
• An understanding/knowledge of the Hutterite colonies, an asset.

• Work hours:
  
  Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM to 4PM and Friday’s 7:30 AM to 2-3PM (depending on workload).

Client will pay mileage for personal vehicle use during probation. Following probationary period, use of a company vehicle will be discussed.
