Locum Veterinary Surgeon

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Locum Veterinary Surgeon to join our practice in Letchworth Garden City. This role is scheduled from 18th September 2024 to 11th December 2024, working 3 days a week, plus some Saturday cover as needed. You will be part of a supportive team, delivering high‑quality care and treatment to small animals.

Work Schedule: 3 days per week + some Saturday cover
Weekday

Shifts:

• Thursday: 09:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Friday: 09:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  Saturday Shift: 09:00 AM - 1:00 PM (as required)

• Conduct consultations, diagnosis, and treatment of various small animal cases.
• Perform surgeries as required and provide post‑operative care.
• Communicate effectively with clients, delivering excellent customer service and patient care.
• Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure smooth practice operations.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine with current registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
• Experience in both small animal medicine and surgery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload independently and within a team.
