IT Support Technician – 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Base location:
Letchworth office, hybrid with four days onsite per week.

Join our Group Services team to support a fast‑paced, data‑focused office where large volumes of ecological survey data are generated and managed.

Provide first‑line hardware and software support to local teams, manage new starter onboarding, and ensure systems run smoothly.

Collaborate with the central IT team to deliver remote support across the wider group.

Engage with staff at all levels—from field teams to senior leaders—where strong communication and a calm, helpful approach are essential.

• Previous experience providing IT support in commercial, academic, or similar environments.
• Confidence handling first‑line software and hardware queries.
• Good working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365.
• Strong communication skills and a people‑focused mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple queries and prioritise effectively.
• Willingness to work primarily on site in Letchworth and provide remote support across the group.
• Experience supporting both Windows and Mac environments.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (WiFi, routers, switches).
• Experience working in a busy office or technical environment.
