Main Duties- Work with adults in an inpatient setting who have complex mental health needs.
- Assess, plan and deliver personalised, evidence-based therapeutic programmes.
- Supervise junior OT staff and contribute to service innovation.
- Collaborate closely with nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, and support workers.
- Support discharge planning and coordinate with external services.
Baldock Manor is a 40-bed hospital in north Hertfordshire providing specialist psychiatric services for adults. It has two female PICU wards and two acute wards. PICU services care for women at crisis level, while acute wards care for older adults (55+) needing short-term stabilization. The average stay in acute wards is less than forty days.

- Carry out functional and occupational assessments.
- Design and implement tailored treatment plans using evidence-based approaches.
- Lead group sessions and 1:1 therapeutic interventions.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to junior OT team members.
- Collaborate closely with nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, and support workers.
- Support discharge planning and coordinate with external services.
- Engage in audits, CPD, and service improvement initiatives.
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in a mental health/psychiatric setting.
- Experience with both group and individual OT interventions.
- Supervisory experience desirable.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC registration.
