The purpose of the job is to provide extensive targeted support for a small group of identified young people from secondary one to secondary three who are not already accessing Support for Learning activities to support their attendance and inclusion. The post holder will be required to work with each learner, their family, Support for Learning and Pupil Support colleagues, as well as external partners, where relevant, to support the young people to attend more consistently and access and engage with a curriculum that is relevant to meet their own needs in accordance with the Council values and the values of Anderson High School.

Additional Information- The grade of this post is F
- Rate of pay shown in the advert is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £1.5523 per hour
- Temporary Part Time post for 21.0 Hours per Week, 39 weeks per year
- 39 weeks per year plus 6.24 weeks (pro rata) paid holiday to be taken during school holidays. Temporary contract for a period of approximately 4 months.
- Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer of employment being made
- A relocation package does not apply to this post
- We will pay interview expenses from within Shetland
- You must have the ability to travel throughout Shetland at short notice and where public transport is limited
