5 hours per week## Advertisement Details The postholder will be based in the relevant School Office and will be managed by the Head Teacher. The postholder will assist the Head Teacher with the provision of a variety of administrative/clerical duties and will assist in the supervision of an Employed Trainee.

Specific tasks of the Clerical Assistant will be:
* To provide switchboard and reception duties, being the first point of contact at the school, dealing with enquiries from staff, pupils, parents, outside agencies and the general public.
* Logging and sorting mail and preparing mail for posting.
* To assist with record keeping and processing of all types of financial transactions, including purchase orders, invoices and journals, and day-to-day administration and banking of school meals money, the School Fund and petty cash.

-Bell's Brae Primary School is a non-denominational school located in central Lerwick. It consists of a Primary, an Early Learning and Childcare Setting and an ASN department. The school catchment area is from Frakkafield encompassing the majority of Lerwick, excluding Sound. There is currently a total of 300 pupils on the roll. The school is managed by Mrs Julia McGinlay, Head Teacher and 3 Depute Head Teachers.

* Rate of pay shown in the advert is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £1.4808 per hour
* Permanent Part Time post for 5.0 Hours per Week , 40 weeks per year plus 6.4 weeks (pro rata) paid holiday to be taken during school holidays
