Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position, requiring a compact or MD license and expertise in telemetry and dysrhythmia management.

• Work in a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift position with 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:45 PM, three days per week
• Care for medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry and dysrhythmia management
• Weekend and holiday shifts required per unit needs
• Floating to units of equivalent or lower acuity is required
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a lower rate
• Must be able to float as necessary within the facility
• Previous employees must have been separated from Med Star for at least one year to be eligible
• No time off is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment and no more than 7 days RTO allowed for the full contract
• Required Sitel modules must be completed within one week of signing the contract
• Lab and DS appointments must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing for compliance

• Active MD or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• Proven skills in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and dysrhythmia management required
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Two recent supervisor references are required
