Staffing Office Support Tech

About the Job

Staffing Office Support Technician will be responsible for patient bed assignment various nursing support duties and provide coverage for staffing coordinator.

• Provides staffing office support including receiving sick calls, updating schedules, entering staffing data, and providing coverage for the Staffing Coordinator as needed.
• Coordinates patient bed assignments and admissions, discharges, and transfers (ADT) through communication with nursing units, Patient Registration, physicians, charge nurses, and patient families.
• Maintains accurate bed availability, census, and staffing information; performs regular unit check-ins and escalates bed status issues to leadership as appropriate.
• Supports nursing operations and performance improvement efforts by assisting with transport, delivery of supplies, and collection of staffing and census data while ensuring compliance with privacy, quality, and safety standards.

• High School Diploma or GED required or
• Active enrollment in Allied Health Votech program or completion of MSMH summer intern program
• Preferred Experience:
  
  Prior experience with data entry and Microsoft Excel. Also, Unit Secretary/Medical Office experience is preferred.
