Overview
Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) – School-Based
Full-Time | In-Person
Schedule: 7.5 hours/day | 37.5 hours/week
Pay Rate: $40–$43/hour
We are seeking a certified Sign Language Interpreter to provide in-person interpretation services in a school-based setting. This role supports student access to instruction and communication throughout the school day.

- Provide accurate American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for students in classroom and school-related activities
- Facilitate effective communication between students, educators, and peers
- Support student participation in academic and social settings
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional interpreting standards
- Collaborate with educators and school staff to support student needs
- Complete required documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines
- Certification: Must be a certified Sign Language Interpreter as of January 2026
- Experience: School-based or educational interpreting experience preferred
- Communication
Skills:
Strong receptive and expressive ASL skills with professional judgment - Professionalism: Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow ethical interpreting practices
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the school day
