Engineering Technician Apprenticeship – Agricultural

Did you know that 50% of the world’s wheat harvested for bread making is cut by a John Deere machine? The grass length at Wimbledon has a direct effect on the style of play each year and can be tuned to millimetre accuracy.

If you are interested in how things are taken apart and put back together, this apprenticeship offers vocational education with class‑leading support from one of the most recognisable brands in the world. The apprenticeship is a three‑year course leading to a John Deere Diploma equivalent to NVQ/A Level.

You will be mentored by a time‑served engineer and spend time at the UK training centre in Saxondale, Nottinghamshire. You will learn about mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems within John Deere, focusing on main line agricultural machinery. Your mentor will guide you with best practice in on‑the‑job situational learning.

• Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English.
• Pass a mechanical aptitude test.
