Retail Customer Service Specialist

The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for providing excellent customer experiences by ensuring high brand standards, efficient front‑end operations, and superior customer support.

• Greet teammates and customers, proactively supporting their shopping experience.
• Serve as the primary front‑end customer service provider and liaison between customers and management.
• Cover the register as needed and support cashiers through complex transactions.
• Assist the manager with department scheduling, workflow direction, daily associate assignments, and monitoring presentation standards.
• Maintain merchandising and presentation standards by following floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment procedures.
• Promote and train teammates on company programs such as customer loyalty, warranty sales, and private‑label credit card enrollment.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures while keeping company information confidential.
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected.
• Assist the team across the store with an all‑hands‑on‑deck approach.

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer‑focused experience is preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift 15 to 35 lbs. (up to 5 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of up to 4 hours standing or walking.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of up to 2 hours continuously.

Targeted Pay Range: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage. DICK’S Sporting Goods complies with all state paid leave requirements and offers a generous benefits package.
