SUMMARY:

The Project Manager plays a critical role in planning, execution, and delivery of strategic projects for Mutual Bancorp. The incumbent will manage multiple initiatives concurrently, including developing, maintaining relative project documentation, and escalating issues for resolution. The role requires a strong understanding of banking operations and project management processes, along with the ability to drive accountability and resolve issues using a solutions‑oriented mindset.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct Project Management

  • Lead and manage multiple projects through all phases of the project lifecycle involving cross‑functional teams, requiring expertise in a variety of areas. Coordinate resources and ensure accountability for deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, logs, and other documentation. Maintain project files and Teams channel.
  • Develop, prepare, and deliver project presentations as needed.
  • Anticipate, identify, and escalate issues, driving resolutions and mitigation plans.
  • Serve as liaison between internal teams and external partners to maintain alignment on priorities.
  • Track and report project progress, risk, and dependencies to leadership.
  • Exercise diplomacy to manage delicate situations and work towards solutions.
  • Follow additional Bank policies and programs as needed (for example, working with Third Party Risk Management for vendor or service onboarding, assisting in completion of risk assessments, etc.).
  • Support change adoption and sustainability through post‑project closure process and transition to business as usual.

Project Office Administration

  • Assist in facilitating monthly project updates and other project management documentation.
  • Monitor resource allocation and make recommendations to adjust timelines, resources, and processes.
  • Assist in the writing of project charters to define scope, objectives, approach, and team members.
  • Assist business‑line project managers to stay on track by effective and regular communication.
  • Mentor, train, and coach business‑line project managers in the organization’s Project Management methods.
  • Assist in maintaining project and initiative pipeline.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION &

CERTIFICATIONS:

(Minimum education required to perform the duties of this position)

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial services and a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management required.
  • PMP preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Seasoned professional, with strong organizational, communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to apply a variety of strategic frameworks to analyze problems and to guide and develop solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop methodologies to provide appropriate analysis and reporting throughout the organization.
  • Proven track record with strategy planning, development, and execution.
  • Exceptional cross‑team collaboration and influencing skills; able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done.
  • Attention to detail and a solutions‑oriented mindset.

  • Must have cyber security awareness to protect the digital environment, the Bank, and customers.
  • Strategic thinking and problem‑solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple, changing priorities.
