Senior Tax Accountant

Description

Our team is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our growing practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for a detail-oriented and driven professional with a robust background in processing individual, corporate, S-Corp, and C-Corp tax returns. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, strong communication skills, and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and file individual, corporate, S-Corp, and C-Corp tax returns.

+ Analyze client financial records, calculate tax liabilities, and ensure adherence to relevant tax laws and regulations.

+ Research federal, state, and local tax matters to deliver sound guidance to clients.

+ Assist clients with tax planning, estimated payments, and strategies to maximize after-tax income while ensuring compliance.

+ Manage deadlines and priorities effectively, maintaining organized documentation and files for all tax engagements.

+ Respond to tax notices and inquiries from federal and state agencies.

+ Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve complex tax issues efficiently.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Enrolled Agent designation preferred.

+ Proven experience preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, S-Corp, and C-Corp tax returns.

+ Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations.

+ Demonstrated ability to research and resolve complex tax issues.

+ Proficient with tax and accounting software; experience with Pro System FX highly desirable.

+ Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

+ Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
