Your Role
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    Maintain and repair backend semiconductor assembly equipment through hands‑on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Experiment Design:
    Design and implement experiments to commission and validate equipment performance.
  • Technical Troubleshooting:
    Resolve complex technical equipment issues using structured problem‑solving techniques with guidance from engineering experts.
  • Process Improvement:
    Implement Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to optimize assembly equipment processes.
  • Data Integration:
    Support the integration of SPC frameworks into manufacturing processes for accurate data collection.
  • Documentation:
    Create CAD drawings and supplementary documentation, such as preventative maintenance procedures and custom‑built fixtures.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with equipment engineers, technicians, and cross‑functional teams to address manufacturing floor challenges.
  • Initiative:
    Identify and act upon opportunities to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Internship Duration: 6‑month co‑op preferred, but open to 12‑week summer internships.
Your Profile
  • Education:

    Actively pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Material Science; preference for students graduating within a year.
  • Problem Solving:
    Demonstrates a methodical and rational approach to resolving complex challenges.
  • Communication:
    Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Adaptability:
    Quick learner with the ability to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Tools:
    Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), working knowledge of AutoCAD or Solid Works; familiarity with Minitab or Tableau is a plus.
  • Data Analysis:
    Capable of drawing meaningful conclusions from structured data.
  • Organizational

    Skills:

    Effective at managing multiple priorities and ensuring task completion.
  • US citizen or green card holder:
    This position requires access to documentation that is controlled by the export laws of the United States. Candidates are required to provide proof of either US citizenship, permanent US residency, or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b(a)(3).

Wage range:
Minimum of $19.00 per hour. Maximum of $32.00 per hour. Hourly rate will depend on the highest level of education completed.
