Position

The Field Technician Trainee (Inspector Trainee) assists Field Technicians/Inspectors in the inspection, testing, and servicing of fire protection systems. This role is intended for individuals entering the fire protection industry and provides hands-on training in Fire Alarm, Fire Sprinkler, and Special Hazards inspection services
, with a defined path toward becoming a licensed and/or certified Field Technician (Inspector).

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Service-focused position providing continuous support to internal and external customers.
  • Assists Field Technicians/Inspectors with inspection and testing of fire protection systems.
  • Performs work in accordance with manufacturer requirements, applicable codes and standards (including NFPA), and Company policies and procedures.
  • Learns inspection and testing procedures with the goal of advancing into a Field Technician/Inspector role.
  • Ensures accuracy and timeliness in all inspection-related tasks and documentation.
  • Represents Eagle Fire Inc. professionally and positively during all customer interactions.
  • Demonstrates reliability and accountability, including working until obligations are met, which may require overtime.
  • Operates and utilizes inspection tools, measuring instruments, gauges, and industry-related devices.
  • Works toward achieving NICET certification in the assigned inspection discipline.
  • Maintains compliance with the Company’s Controlled Substances and Alcohol Standard
    .
  • Follows all Company safety policies and procedures and exercises authority to stop unsafe acts.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in fire protection inspection, life safety systems, or construction trades is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
    .
  • Ability to work from heights exceeding 10 feet and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, crouch, reach, handle, push, and pull as required.
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle and travel between job sites.
  • Ability to travel and stay out of town when required by project or inspection schedules.
  • Ability to work in extreme heat and cold conditions.
  • Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels.
