UNC Caldwell is the choice for health care in Caldwell County. The Emergency Department sees approximately 30,000 visits a year.

Caldwell Physician Network and UNC Physicians Network provide the majority of primary care and select specialty care to our market from thirteen separate medical park locations throughout the county. Our 137-bed licensed acute care hospital is a member of the UNC Health System.

The new Jonas Hill Hospital and Clinic features 27 inpatient beds as well as a full-spectrum outpatient clinic with a multi‑disciplinary staff. It is located adjacent to UNC Caldwell hospital in the heart of Western, NC.

• Full‑time opportunity for an outpatient provider
• Psych Certified APP with 2‑3 years of psych experience is required
• Licensed and certified PMHNP; ANCC or AANP Board Certified
• Experience with EPIC is preferred

  Jonas Hill Clinic, 407 Mulberry Street, Lenoir NC 28645
• Provide direct patient care in an office setting for a minimum of 36 hours, serving ages 6‑30 approximately
• Monday – Friday, no ED call, no clinic call
• Duties:
  Provide patient care to adults and children through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health needs. Provide medication management and perform psychiatric evaluations for patients pursuing OP services. Provide psychiatric leadership and direction for the treatment team. Work within a multidisciplinary treatment team under the supervision of an MD psychiatrist.
• Provider will see an average of 10‑12 patients per day

• Completion of an accredited graduate‑level Advanced Practice Provider (PA) program.

• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in North Carolina.
• Board certification required by the department.
• DEA registration.

• No prior experience required.

• Demonstrated clinical competency.
• Effective leadership skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills.
• Effective interaction to ensure successful care of patients in the clinical setting.
• Documentation in the medical record to substantiate accurate billing.
