Kodiak's heavy haul division boasts a fleet of tractors and specialized trailers capable of hauling over 200k load items. Drivers are expected to deliver a best‑in‑class service on our specialized equipment, handling the largest loads safely, competently, and on time while upholding safety and communication standards.

• Operate and drive heavy haul trucks to transport oversized loads, machinery, and equipment.
• Ensure adherence to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections on vehicles and equipment.
• Secure cargo properly using chains, binders, straps, and other equipment to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Work with the permitting team to plan routes and determine the best course of action, considering road conditions, weather, and traffic.
• Communicate effectively with dispatcher, customer, and other team members.
• Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.

• Minimum 3 years OTR heavy haul experience.
• Valid CDL Class A with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
• TWIC card (preferred).
• Must be willing to stay on the road for 3–4 weeks at a time.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with RGN/low‑boy multi‑axle 8‑ax remet RGN trucks.
