The Account Manager – Workforce Health Solutions will proactively maintain and upsell existing assigned Quest accounts. The AM will work closely with the sales leadership and departmental management to resolve issues or client concerns. The AM will ensure employer information is current and updated in Quest databases and will prepare reports and complete projects as directed by sales leadership. This is a hybrid sales position based in Lenexa, KS, but remote candidates may be considered.
Responsibilities- Proactively contact key accounts to ensure customer service satisfaction and that client activity volume increases or, at minimum, remains the same as the prior year.
- Ensure QTN and Salesforce are updated with current information and verify the accuracy of new account set‑ups.
- Organize, facilitate, and conduct care review meetings covering topics such as TAT, pricing, OM, annual business review, and chart reviews.
- Develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, adjusters, and TPAs.
- Upsell existing clients to generate more tests and revenue and identify ancillary service opportunities such as wellness and clinical services.
- Address and resolve client concerns promptly, logging issues in the VOC (Voice of the Customer) in Salesforce and following through until resolution.
- Work with outside sales reps to transition clients after the Tier 1 period ends, ensuring a smooth handoff.
- Conduct all Quest ES web services demos for clients.
- Participate in one leadership team meeting per month, presenting client retention information and attrition trends.
- Assist in hosting in‑Quest events and tours, such as Lunch & Learns, employer seminars, and trade shows, and work on additional projects as assigned.
- Document all activities in , including client information, calls, meetings, and tours.
- Prepare reports as directed by sales leadership.
- Meet deadlines for work assignments and inform leadership of status and progress.
- Communicate and work professionally with other staff to ensure coordinated, high‑quality service.
- Maintain knowledge of all company programs, services, and resources available to clients.
- Attend continuing education seminars and meetings as required.
- Perform related work as requested and other duties as assigned.
- Frequent telephone contact with clients, interacting constantly with interruptions and requiring flexibility in working hours. Resolve conflicts effectively as they arise.
- Minimum 3 years of successful sales experience with a Fortune 1000 company.
- One or more years of experience identifying and closing new business.
- Experience with CRM programs such as Salesforce.
- Health care industry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with laboratory information systems preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Perform job duties with frequent interruptions or distractions.
- Ability to interact professionally with colleagues and/or customers for different purposes in different contexts.
- Maintain composure under pressure.
- Ability to collaborate and influence internal and external clients at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrate business acumen, including confidence in presenting and discussing business issues with benefit managers and directors.
- Experience making independent decisions and managing large projects that directly impact our business and the business of our clients.
- Proven ability to develop relationships with executive‑level personnel resulting in successful closure of the sale.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with all employees.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Proven selling and negotiation skills.
- Strong service acumen.
A bachelor’s degree is required.
