Are you a relationship-builder with a passion for sales and problem‑solving? EFC International is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you’ll manage and grow your territory by selling fasteners and specialty components to industrial and distribution customers. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are essential. Experience with P21 or CRM systems is a plus—but we’ll provide training!
WhatYou’ll Do
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers in purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and quality departments.
- Travel throughout your assigned territory to meet with current and prospective customers.
- Communicate effectively using phone, email, text, and virtual meetings to promote EFC/ISC products, win new business, and resolve issues.
- Conduct regular account reviews to ensure customer needs are met and aligned with business goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including cold calling and lead generation.
- Provide technical product support and offer engineered solutions for customer applications.
- Help customers optimize product performance, reduce costs, and solve design challenges.
- Work with customers and suppliers to test and validate designs through prototypes or simulations.
- Collaborate with Inside Sales, NBD, Sourcing, Purchasing, and Quality teams to support customer success.
- Keep CRM, P21, and other systems up‑to‑date and accurate.
- Prepare call reports and submit expense reports in a timely manner.
- Education/
Experience:
High School diploma required or 3‑5 years of relevant sales/technical trade experience. - Communication skills:
Comfortable presenting, listening, and building trust with customers. - Problem‑solving mindset:
Able to analyze customer needs, recommend solutions, and think on your feet. - Sales drive:
Motivated to achieve targets, overcome objections, and grow business in your territory. - Technical aptitude:
Ability to read and understand technical drawings; prior product/engineering experience is a plus. - Comfortable with moderate to extensive travel, including driving and occasional air travel.
- Technology:
Proficient with Microsoft Office; CRM experience preferred (training provided). - Other:
Must hold a valid driver’s license and be comfortable with regional travel (some overnight).
