Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift contract opportunity. This role offers a consistent 36-hour weekly schedule with no call requirement. Ideal candidates are clinically strong, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Med Surg environment.
Schedule Details- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Call: None
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend (Friday plus Saturday/Sunday)
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Med Surg patients
- Conduct patient assessments and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
- Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge planning
- Active RN license (state-specific or compact license, as applicable)
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent Med Surg experience
- Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred if required by facility)
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
