Position Overview

Nor Tek Medical Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Baylor Weekend Program – Full-Time Nights opportunity in Overland Park, Kansas.

This role offers nurses the chance to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive hospital environment while working a specialized weekend-focused schedule.

This position is ideal for nurses who are passionate about hands-on patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and making a meaningful impact during critical overnight hours. You will work under the guidance of nursing leadership in a team-oriented setting that values professional growth, clinical excellence, and compassionate service.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care

Deliver, direct, and supervise patient care using the nursing process

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring

Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans

Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately

Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-hospital care

Support discharge planning and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams

Collaboration & Leadership

Work closely with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals

Communicate changes in patient conditions promptly and effectively

May serve in Charge Nurse responsibilities when qualified (ACLS required)

Promote a safe, healing, and patient-centered care environment

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records

Follow hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines

Participate in quality improvement and patient care initiatives

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas (or compact eligibility)

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required

Strong clinical judgment and patient assessment skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Experience

1 year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience

Experience in emergency, high observation, or critical care settings

Comfort managing patients with vents, trachs, PICC lines, and complex medical needs

2+ years of direct bedside patient care experience

Certifications

ACLS certification preferred at hire and required within 90 days of employment

ACLS required on day one for Charge Nurse, High Observation, and ICU roles

Work Schedule

Full-time Baylor Weekend Program

Night shifts

On-site position in Overland Park, KS

No relocation assistance provided

Non-local candidates not eligible

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $65,000 – $80,000 annually
