Location:

Lenexa, KS

Shift: 12‑Hour Night Shift (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.)

Schedule:

Alternating weekly rotation - start night indicated below

  • Week 1:
    Sunday-Monday-Tuesday

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Press Assistant to join our flexible packaging manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll work alongside a Press Operator to help prepare, run, and maintain high‑speed printing equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills in a stable, team‑oriented, and fast‑paced production environment.

What You Will Do

  • Assist the Press Operator with preparing the press and all job‑related materials
  • Monitor and adjust inks as needed, including checking ink viscosity on an hourly basis
  • Remove finished film from the machine and stage it on pallets for pickup
  • Retrieve and return inks to the ink room and clean machine components between jobs
  • Handle and manage hazardous waste in compliance with safety and environmental requirements
  • Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and meet OSHA standards
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Complete rework tasks as needed

What You Have to Offer

  • Ability to read, write, and follow simple, clear instructions
  • Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
