Assistant Press Operator
Location:
Lenexa, KS
Shift: 12‑Hour Day Shift (7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
Schedule:
Alternating weekly rotation
- Week 1:
Monday – Tuesday – Wednesday - Week 2:
Wednesday – Thursday – Friday - Week 3:
Monday – Tuesday – Thursday – Friday
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Press Assistant to join our flexible packaging manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll work alongside a Press Operator to help prepare, run, and maintain high‑speed printing equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills in a stable, team‑oriented, and fast‑paced production environment.
What You Will Do- Assist the Press Operator with preparing the press and all job‑related materials.
- Monitor and adjust inks as needed, including checking ink viscosity on an hourly basis.
- Remove finished film from the machine and stage it on pallets for pickup.
- Retrieve and return inks to the ink room and clean machine components between jobs.
- Handle and manage hazardous waste in compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
- Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and meet OSHA standards.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Complete rework tasks as needed.
- Ability to read a measuring tape.
- Strong desire to learn and grow within manufacturing.
- Ability to read, write, and follow simple, clear instructions.
- Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
