Job Overview
The Manager is responsible for all Warehouse Operations. The Manager will provide in-depth technical support and training for all warehouse operations. This person will serve as the liaison between warehousing and other departments as well. They also identify quality related issues, ensure products are delivered on time, and ensure all customer needs are met. This person will also direct, schedule, and administer all warehousing operations.
Ensure that all employees meet goals, and efficiency standards, and that unit plans are met. They are responsible for driving strategic, lean initiatives to improve overall performance of their areas.

PrimaryResponsibilities
- Provide leadership to and manage direct reports on the warehousing team:
- Support the hiring, onboarding and training of new warehouse employees
- Provide support and guidance for developing employees
- Primary point of escalation for quality issues
- Schedule and facilitate regular team meetings
- Assists with developing a succession plan for key positions
- Create and/or update policy and procedure documentation
- Partner with direct manager:
- Actively manage and drive the creation of the overall warehouse operational strategy
- Resource planning and development opportunities understand the FTE capacity planning process
- Partner with other departments:
- Ensuring department is fulfilling needs of the business partners
- Keeping leadership and business stakeholders apprised of potential or actual quality issues and providing regular status updates
- Helping to support the customer efforts/relationship (i.e. attend meetings with customer as needed, cover if needed, etc.).
- Develops budgets based on unit plan analyzing and adjusting to constraints and opportunities
- Analyzes and verifies monthly budgets adjusting as necessary
- Investigates discrepancies, re-classes entries accordingly
- Maintain responsibility and accountability for meeting departmental budget goals
- Manages adequate warehouse inventories to assure planned/projected production volumes, seeking the best products to support our business while reducing costs
- Develops daily, weekly and monthly key production/productivity measurements
- Maintains and administers departmental policies and procedures
- Assists engineer in time studies for new processes.
- Bachelor’s degree (8 years of related experience can be substituted for degree)
- At least 4 years of warehousing experience
- Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, team and interpersonal skills, effective time management, oral and written communication skills, advanced computer skills, organizational skills, and ability to communicate professionally with vendors and customers
