The Candlewood Suites/Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lenexa is looking to add a dedicated Maintenance Support Tech / Engineer who enjoys performing a wide variety of preventative maintenance, and basic maintenance takes to keep the hotel properties exceptionally well-kept buildings inside and out. Do you have an eye for detail, able work independently, and dedicated? If so, we want to talk to you.

This position does require a flexible schedule that included weekends and holidays.

Basic Purpose of position:
To maintain the upkeep of all property exterior as well as interior plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, pool, elevator etc. in an efficient, safe, accident-free manner. Plus, special skills in a specific trade such as: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC.

• Guest room preventative maintenance such as painting, battery replacement, smoke detector checks, and HVAC cleaning
• Repair items brought to attention by property staff and guests.
• Perform minor building and equipment preventative maintenance tasks.
• Assist in maintaining the pool area.
• Maintain the grounds, landscaping, outbuilding and parking areas in a clean, neat, safe, and attractive manner.

• Friendly customer service to brighten the day of our property guests
• Ability to be patient and creatively problem solve

• Desire to contribute to a supportive and effective team

• Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching; stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
