Our client is seeking a dedicated Field Engineer 4 (FE
4) who can serve the metro area with driving and non‑driving responsibilities. The candidate will work with laptops and desktops, replace hardware such as motherboards, hard drives, keyboards, and perform whole unit swaps. Real‑time ticket resolution and robust customer service are essential.

• Conduct on‑site repair of laptops and desktops in the metro area
• Replace hard drives, motherboards, keyboards, and other components
• Perform whole‑unit swaps and peripheral repairs as needed
• Close service tickets in real time using the client’s call‑management system
• Document job activities and time via the system (iPhone/desktop)
• Travel 2–3 hours to deliver services to customers and occasionally work beyond scheduled hours (overtime will be paid as required by law)

• 1+ year hands‑on experience with laptop and desktop break‑fix
• Computer‑building background preferred
• Strong general knowledge of laptop/desktop hardware and software, including Microsoft applications
• Ability to resolve basic/non‑complex problems as directed
• A+ Certification required (if not certified, 90 days to obtain before termination)
• Own reliable car and car insurance (eligible for reimbursement of mileage, 250–350 miles per week)
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
• Client or governmental clearance may be required; police or criminal background check required

• Must complete required product training
• Must pass drug and background screening
• Obtain and submit Dell computer certification (no cost, open book, within 3 business days of selection)

• Must comply with a business‑casual dress code (slacks or khakis, collared shirt, dress shoes – no jeans, hats, t‑shirts, or athletic attire)
• Reliable high‑speed internet and home computer for remote documentation
• Strong communication skills and willingness to answer engineering and administrative questions during the interview and throughout the assignment

• Confirmation of owning a working printer at home
• Willingness to travel 2–3 hours and work overtime as needed
• Backup plan for vehicle failure (private transport – Uber, Lyft, or public transit not acceptable)
• Answers to previous employment with the client, including dates and reason for leaving
