Jr. Test Automation Engineer

• Create and maintain automated test cases.
• Execute test suites.
• Review and diagnose reported defects through CI/CD and ensure overall system quality prior to each release.
• Participate and conduct peer reviews of test scripts.
• Work with business analysts, developers, Dev Ops, product owners, and other department personnel to derive testing requirements throughout the SDLC.
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical development to identify, reproduce, debug, isolate, and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards and verify fixes.
• Create software artifacts including test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test reports.
• Facilitate test plan/case reviews with appropriate parties including business analysts and developers.
• Facilitate the sharing of information by contributing to the IT Knowledgebase when appropriate.
• Anticipate, identify, and elevate issues/risks.
• Leverage personal knowledge and experience to propose workarounds, prevention, and/or solutions.
• Follow and promote the use of established SDLC including internal IT and testing procedures.
• Contribute to SDLC documentation.

• Jr. Developer looking to gain experience in test automation, test tooling, and infrastructure or development deployment operations.
• Schooling or professional experience in Java or C#.

This is a 6-Month Contract-for-Hire opportunity with our Lenexa, KS client. 100% Paid employee Medical/Dental Benefits, Paid time off, Paid Holidays, and 401(k) (with immediately-vested company match) available with Tri Com during the contract period.
