Position OverviewKiewit Power Delivery Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Substation Estimator to join our team. This role involves preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for substation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and construction, with a focus on high-voltage projects.

LocationThis position is based out of Lenexa, KS.
Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates for substation projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop comprehensive estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
- Review and validate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities in the estimating process.
- Maintain and update historical cost data and estimating tools.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information for accurate estimates.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior estimators and other team members.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5years of experience in estimating for substation projects.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems and construction practices.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as Primavera, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects is a plus.

- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
- Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
- Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
- May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.
