Senior Mechanical Designer - Power Engineering

This position can be based in any of the following office locations:
Lenexa, KS;
Lone Tree, CO;
Houston, TX;
Raleigh, NC;
Phoenix/Tempe, AZ;
New York City, NY; or Woodcliff Lake, NJ. For roles in Chattanooga, TN;
Detroit, MI; or Richmond, VA, the position will start remotely and transition to a hybrid/in‑office arrangement once the new office is established.

• Draft sketches, piping and instrument diagrams, or model 3D equipment items for power plant systems including steam cycle systems, boiler feed and condensate, water treatment, fuel handling, hydraulic, heat transfer systems, conveying systems, and air and gas systems.
• Check design deliverables in accordance with industry codes and standards, contract requirements, and company standards.
• Adhere to schedules and work assignments to ensure successful project completion.
• Coordinate with other drafters, designers and team members, supporting work progress and results.
• Train and advise interns or new graduates.

• At least 3‑10 years of related design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Drafting and Design or related discipline.
• Proficient in basic computer programs including MS Word and Excel, web browsing and e‑mail programs.
• Knowledge of drafting software including Micro Station, Autodesk, Smart Plant.

• Regular, reliable attendance.
• Work productively and meet deadlines timely.
• Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others in a team environment.
• Perform work safely and effectively; understand and follow oral and written instructions, warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
• Work during normal operating hours; may work overtime and weekends as required.
• May work at various locations; conditions may vary.

Base Compensation: $152,000/yr – $159,000/yr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location).

Active from: 12/29/2025 – 12/31/2026.
