Overview

The Apparel Visual Artist I is responsible for creating high-quality digital visuals that bring apparel concepts to life. This role blends technical accuracy with creative execution to develop renderings, mockups, and visual assets for both internal teams and client-facing presentations. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, deep understanding of graphics and apparel, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Create Digital Renderings:
    Includes apparel designs, including uniforms, teamwear, branded merchandise, and product variations.
  • Involves developing the ability to execute novelty fabrics, prints, and yarn techniques.
  • Ability to execute multiple versions of trim and art attribution.
  • Ability to accurately place fabrication and materials in 3D.
  • Support the marketing and sales teams with presentation-ready imagery, including flat lays, hero visuals, and lifestyle composites (if applicable).
  • Must stay current on trends in digital rendering, apparel visualization, and industry-specific tools and techniques.
  • Utilize technology to adapt and revise artwork quickly based on feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
Sourcing & Development
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop custom decoration.
  • Build a list of vendor’s capabilities/strengths/weaknesses.
  • Ensure materials meet design intent, cost parameters, and production feasibility.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with sales and product development teams to accurately visualize apparel concepts.
  • Develop checklists to ensure approvals and to make sure all styles are accounted for.
  • Attend weekly Brand based meetings as needed.
  • Maintain physical and digital libraries.
Documentation & BOM Creation
  • Update and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) with accurate information as embellishment is resolved.
  • Update sketches as needed.
  • Perform trim and embellishment approvals as needed.
Calendar Management
  • Adhere to development timelines and action calendars.
  • Ensure visuals and approvals are ready for key milestones.
Business Acumen
  • Ensure visual consistency across different product lines, brand guidelines, and client expectations.
  • Demonstrated acumen and considered an internal expert.
  • Excellent communicator, tracker, and problem solver.
  • Assists with special projects as needed.
Professionalism
  • Ability to conduct oneself in accordance with our Vision, Mission and Values.
  • Ability to be a good representative of the company.
  • Ability to maintain working area, samples, and tools in a way that is easily accessed by other team members and self.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 4-year or 2 year degree in Apparel or Graphic or Product Development.
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, multiple AI.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft 365 programs.
  • Tech Packs (PDL/PLM) knowledge/working experience preferred.
  • Project Management and tracking software experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication to all partner teams; including meeting presentations. Able to upload relevant info to supervisor(s).
