Event Manager / Planner

DescriptionAs our Events Manager you will lead planning and execution of mid‑to‑large scale events. You will manage the full event lifecycle, vendor negotiations, and cross‑functional collaboration, and be responsible for measurable event impact.
Job Responsibilities- Owns mid‑to‑large scale events (regional conferences, larger trade shows, multi‑day workshops, etc.)
- Manage event budgets, vendor contracts and payment schedules
- Develop and execute event strategies aligned with business objectives
- Lead pre‑event meetings, stakeholder alignment and post‑event debriefs
- Oversee registration, onsite logistics, AV, catering and venue management
- Analyze event performance (attendance, ROI, lead capture) and present reports
- Mentor junior event coordinators and specialists
- Ensure all events are aligned with the company's brand and messaging
- Assess potential risks related to event execution (weather, health protocols, vendor reliability, etc.) and develop contingency plans
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with other marketing teams (demand gen, product marketing, creative services) to maximize the impact and value of events
- Source and evaluate event venues, catering services, entertainment and other event suppliers
- Gather feedback from attendees, stakeholders, and team members to assess the success of the event and report out
- Other projects as assigned
- Skills / Knowledge – Experience executing events with 200‑500+ attendees. Strong negotiation, vendor management and budget skills.
- Job Complexity – Ability to manage timelines, budgets and stakeholders for mid‑size events. Proficiency in event/project management software (Wrike, Cvent, Monday, etc.). Can work as a team with other planners on large scale events. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Supervision – Independently leads mid‑to‑large scale events.
- Communication skills – strong customer service and communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree, or a combination of relevant training and/or experience in lieu of degree
- Early career, 4‑6 years event planning experience (including events with 200‑500+ attendees) and/or trade show management
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation encouraged
- Travel will be required, up to 25% annually
