Job Overview

This intern is responsible for assisting the Account Coordinators (all divisions), Sample Coordinator, and Lease Account Specialists with processing and maintaining customer orders. This position requires a great attention to detail, a high level of efficiency, the ability to multi‑task, strong organizational skills, exceptional follow through, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Sample Coordinator with setting up all Sample/FG item numbers.
  • Assist Sample Coordinator with entering all Bulk Sample orders. Validates ATP on all orders and communicates any issues to the Brand team.
  • Assist Sample Coordinator with entering all Salesman orders – verifies all pricing, dates, etc.
  • Assist Retail AC with harvesting web images from GFSI Online and label/transmit them to the retailers to launch on the websites.
  • Assist Retail AC with keying Count Only/Reservation Orders.
  • Assist Retail AC with importing EDI POs (EDI 850) - manages EDI PO issues through an EDI management Form.
  • Assist Retail AC with holds reports to ensure timely release of holds that are within direct area of responsibility. Follows up with various internal staff on resolution of holds relevant to other departments.
  • Assist Retail AC with importing EDI POs (EDI 850) - manages EDI PO issues through an EDI management Form.
  • Assist AC (all divisions) with holds reports to ensure timely release of holds that are within direct area of responsibility. Follows up with various internal staff on resolution of holds relevant to other departments.
  • Follett - Receives incoming EDI orders, reviews all art aspects, including ink/thread/applique colors, new art refer to’s, art approvers. Also reviews any particular notes Follett has included, which are pertinent to art creation.
  • Follett - On new art orders and as needed, accesses Follett’s image library for school‑specific logos, mascots or wordmarks (when missing from GFS licensed pages).
  • Follett - Performs product availability verification (ATP), confirms process and product minimums, verifies lead times, pricing and other validations in conjunction with data entry duties.
  • Follett - Interacts closely with Follett Account Coordinators for problem resolution on sales orders, by assigning drafts with validation issues back to the Account Coordinators.
  • Follett - Manual entry of Follett POs as needed – POs unable to transmit via EDI (MTO and unique Production Processes).
  • FLC – Assists with updating and validation of EDI POs in ROE communicating any issues/exceptions to the FLC Account Specialists.
  • FLC – Creating Art Only orders and generating UPCs using the Batch Creation Form.
  • Assists entire customer service team with large entry and/or maintenance projects, as deemed necessary by customer service management.
Experience/Skills/Education Requirements
  • Must be currently enrolled in University of Georgia, University of South Carolina, University of Cincinnati, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Southern California, University of Maryland.
  • Proficient in PC software applications.
  • Proficient in Office products, primarily Excel, for spreadsheet management.
