The Project Accountant is responsible for Accounts Payable, Payroll and Accounts Receivable Job Cost Accuracy. Knowledge of Foundation Software preferred. No Supervision or management of others; hourly position. Position Available upon acceptance.
Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable- Kansas and Missouri Sale Tax knowledge
- Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date accounts payable files and records
- Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Prepare accurate and timely tax documents for vendors
- Prepare accurate and timely invoices for multiple project managers
- Assignments requested by Controller or Assistant Controller
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, equivalent industry experience considered.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in industrial construction.
- Strong understanding of job costing, T&M billing, labor tracking, and construction accounting fundamentals.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially with project managers, field supervisors, shop personnel, vendors and customers.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
