CHEESE MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT General Summary

At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role - Cheese Maintenance Technician 2nd & 3rd Shift Rate is $36.21 (Break in rates and $0.75 cents differential pay from 6PM - 5:59AM applies).

• Responsible for fabrication or modification of equipment to Leprino specs and standards.
• Responsible for the installation of new or used equipment.
• Responsible for repairs of building and all plant equipment.
• Responsible for plant preventative maintenance.
• Responsible to promptly respond to any equipment break downs or downtime when applicable.
• Responsible to assist in shift coverage when applicable.
• Responsible for welding repairs to plant equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.
• Responsible to fulfill MEP requirements.
• Perform any other duties as required by Maintenance Manager, Supervisor or Group Leader.

• Knowledge of GMPs.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions of the position.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions.
• High School level verbal and written communication skills.
• Minimum one year of experience in a maintenance setting involving electronics, instrumentation, refrigeration, electrical, and general mechanical.
• Proficient written and spoken English.
• Basic computational skills required.
• Simple math reasoning required.

• Working knowledge of manufacturing system software (SAP and MES) is preferred, but not required.
• Self-starter who demonstrates initiative in recognizing and accomplishing needed tasks for the department office.

• Must complete required Security Attendant trainings within 6 months of starting the position.

• This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• This position will regularly interact with other production and support group supervisors.
• Regular interaction with other plant management.
• Regular interaction with Leprino employees, customers, vendors, contractors, and the general public.
