Physical Therapist

Core Duties

• Provide a comprehensive range of physical therapy services in accordance with the scope of clinical privileges
• Develop and document treatment plans based on thorough patient evaluations.
• Implement manual exercises to enhance and sustain functional abilities.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in engaging in various physical activities, including non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily living tasks, and the use of assistive and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
• Perform soft tissue mobilization, utilizing knowledge of mobilization techniques and human physiology.
• Administer traction to alleviate pain, employing appropriate traction equipment.
• Document treatment procedures, patient responses, and progress in the patient s medical record and/or automated systems.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to gather additional patient information, propose modifications to treatment programs, and integrate physical therapy with other facets of the patient s healthcare. Communicate with referring physicians regarding patient care concerns as necessary.
• Conduct activities related to prevention and wellness, including education, screening, and the promotion of positive health behaviors.

Monday through Friday, with 8.5 or 9 hours of work scheduled between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM, including a designated lunch break. There will be no weekend or holiday work obligations. No on-call or call-back responsibilities.

• Education:
  
  A Master’s degree in Physical Therapy or a Baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy for graduates prior to January 1, 2002.
• Experience:
  
  A minimum of two years of experience within the past three years, sufficient to meet clinical competency requirements.
• License:
  An active, unrestricted license to practice in any state.
• Board Certification:
  Not applicable.
• Life Support
  
  Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Security:
  Candidates must successfully pass a government background check and obtain a government security clearance.
