Responsibilities and dutiesBasic function
:
Under the direction of the College President, perform a wide variety of complex clerical and typing duties involving frequent and responsible contact with employees and the general public.
- Arrive consistently punctual and prepared to work;
- Maintain regular attendance and comply with the attendance record policy;
- Demonstrate positive attitude and behavior;
- Present an appropriate appearance;
- Exhibit good interpersonal relations;
- Complete tasks effectively;
- Relate sensitively to all employees;
- Answer telephones, greet the public, and provide information;
- Operate computer terminal and incorporate software applications;
- Schedule appointments;
- Process incoming and outgoing mail; duplicate, file, and distribute materials as appropriate;
- Prepare and type correspondence, forms, reports, and a variety of other materials, type from oral direction, or rough copy or notes;
- Monitor office supplies and equipment; notify supervisor of low inventory status or maintenance issues;
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.

- Follow oral and written directions;
- Learn to interpret specific rules and policies and apply them in a variety of office situations;

- Learn and apply knowledge of schedules, procedures, and the use of equipment and supplies used in an office work environment;
